The Girl Who Stole a Constellation

The jar glowed with a brilliant, blue-white light, illuminating her entire room. Salma was amazed, but she quickly noticed that the night sky looked empty and sad without the constellation. She heard a soft tap on her window. It was Suhail, a stardust sprite. 'Salma,' Suhail said, 'the stars belong to everyone. Without them, the night animals lose their way and astronomers cannot study the universe.'
Salma realized she had been selfish. She took the jar to the top of the hill. She opened the latch and pointed her tube back at the sky. The stars shot out, returning to their places in the sky, sparkling brighter than ever. Salma vowed to work on reducing light pollution instead, ensuring the stars would always be visible to everyone.
