The Elves of Starfall Creek
β¨
Fairy Tales & Legends
One evening, a thick, dark mist rolled over the creek, hiding the moon and the stars completely. The forest went pitch black. A young fawn named Bayan became separated from her mother and cried out in fear. Baraa heard her soft whimpers from across the stream. He gathered the other elves, and together they lit their brightest starlight lanterns. They formed a long, glowing chain of light across the forest floor.
Guided by the warm, gentle starlight, Bayan found her way back to her mother. The mother deer bowed her head in gratitude to Baraa and the tiny elves. From that night on, the elves wove even brighter lanterns, and the forest creatures always knew they had friends watching over them in the dark.
